NetDragon and BNU Expert Team Visit MUST to Discuss Future Education

On April 9, Dr. Liu Dejian, Chairman of NetDragon and Co-Dean of the Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University (BNU), along with a delegation including Professor Huang Ronghuai (Co-Dean of the Institute), Professor Chen Guangju (Former Vice President of BNU and Deputy Director of the Institute), and Dr. Zeng Haijun (Deputy Director of the Institute), visited Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). They were warmly received by Dr. Tang Jiale, Vice President of MUST, University Librarian Ms. Zhao Xichen, and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts Professor Zhang Zhiqing. The three parties held in-depth discussions on future collaborations.

Vice President Tang Jiale extended a heartfelt welcome to the joint delegation from NetDragon and BNU. He noted that MUST, NetDragon, and BNU have long enjoyed fruitful collaboration and expressed hope to expand cooperative initiatives, leveraging their respective strengths to contribute to the future of education.

Dean Zhang Zhiqing of MUST’s Faculty of Humanities and Arts introduced the progress of the Joint Research Center for Digital Innovation and Humanities Education, co-established by MUST and NetDragon. He described the Center as an interdisciplinary platform driven by digital technology and guided by humanistic values, highlighting several industry-academia-research projects jointly developed since its inception. He affirmed plans to further collaborate on innovations in digital education and cultural industries.

Professor Huang Ronghuai elaborated on BNU’s Smart Learning Institute, a comprehensive platform for scientific research, technological development, and educational experimentation co-built with NetDragon. The Institute focuses on studying learning patterns in digital environments and creating smart learning ecosystems to support lifelong, personalized, and differentiated education. Dr. Zeng Haijun provided additional insights into the Institute’s initiatives.

Other attendees, including Professor Chen Guangju, NetDragon Vice Presidents Chen Changjie and Lin Tong, MUST Librarian Ms. Zhao Xichen, and Dean of the Conservatory Professor Zheng Zhong, shared perspectives on university development and education in the AI era.
